Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ChatPlus AI — our websites, dashboard, APIs, and embeddable chat widgets (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.

1. The Service

ChatPlus AI lets you deploy an AI-powered chat assistant on your website, trained on content you provide (crawled pages and uploaded documents). The Service is currently offered in beta; features may change, be added, or be removed as the product evolves.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account, including team members you invite.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you provide — your website content, uploaded documents, branding, and your customers' conversations. You grant us a limited license to host, process, index, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you index and for your compliance with laws that apply to your use of the Service, including privacy laws covering data you collect from your own customers.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful;
• Index content you do not have the right to use;
• Attempt to breach, probe, or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
• Resell or white-label the Service without our written agreement;
• Use the Service to generate spam or misleading automated communications.

5. AI-generated responses

The Service uses large language models to generate responses based on your content. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing how your assistant is configured and for the information it communicates to your customers. The Service is not a substitute for professional (legal, medical, financial) advice.

6. Fees

During the beta, the Service is offered free of charge. We will give account holders reasonable advance notice before introducing paid plans, and continued use after pricing takes effect will require choosing a plan.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users. Upon termination we will delete your data in line with our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, and without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChatPlus AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenues, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $100.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be announced to account holders by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
